 “WILL WE GET OUT ALIVE”

“Will We Get Out Alive?” is a ground-breaking NFT project from Dennis Ferrer that will allow house music fans to break a track from a legendary songwriter and producer, and own an NFT with true inherent value - the exploitation right to a song that can generate royalties on a large scale!

THE DROP

 DESCRIPTION

The idea behind the project is to provide the NFT with inherent value and the opportunity to generate revenue on a large scale. In recent history, NFTs have been used to provide true ownership for digital art, and the only opportunity to earn money with them was to sell them on the secondary market after they were originally purchased in an auction. Now, we're able to unlock an opportunity for the buyer to not only own a beautiful piece of audiovisual, and immersive art, but to be able to utilize it in a way that was not possible until now by providing the exploitation rights of a song by a legendary house music innovator and producer who's tracks consistently rank among the highest earners in the scene.

THE NFT

 DELIVERABLES

We will be breaking up the drop into multiple parts:
1/1 Exploitation rights of the track.
1/1 Music video.
Series: Music video broken into distinct 16/32 bar pieces (TBD).
Series: AR audio-reactive/interactive visualization of the song for iOS devices (iPhone and
iPad).

NOTE: All NFTs will come with a limited edition vinyl of the track, signed by the artists involved. The music video loop series and 1/1 music video will come with an Infinite Objects display, to play back the video.

THE IDEA

VISUALIZING THE CITY AS A SOUND WAVE

Music is made up of a complicated system of interlocking sounds, beats, and vocals much like a city. Our approach to visualizing the track will be to imagine it as a visual journey through New York: the projects, crime, loss, community, and inspiration to see structures and infrastructure crumble to eventual rebuild and reveal how an artist can emerge on the other side - getting out alive!

LABYRINTH

"Will We Get Out Alive?" Is fundamentally a question. The journey cannot and should not be easy, or a straight line. To demonstrate the hero’s journey we will employ a series of labyrinthine structures that make up the core of the city. This labyrinth will complicate the journey, help to cast doubt as to whether they will escape and get out alive.

FOCAL POINT

The focal point of the visuals will be a bullet that navigates the world and labyrinth of New York. By the end of the visuals, the path that the bullet will have journeyed will be revealed to be the notes making up the hook of the track along a musical staff.

FIRSTS

The project will have a number of notable firsts:
-The first NFT that comes with the exploitation rights of a popular artist that has the potential to have significant earnings, and inherent value.
-The first NFT that will have metadata for Virtual Studio Technology (VSTs) and production gear used in the production of the track.
